China: on December 10, 2017, the temple of Jiulong, located in Mianzhu, Sichuan, China, has been consumed by fire. This ancient temple is considered the tallest wooden church in Asia.
According to Newsweek, a fire that blazed the 15-storey building on Sunday did not cause any injuries or deaths.
The church was built more than 400 years ago, but it was renovated in 2008.
Firefighters spent more than four hours trying to extinguish the fiery fire. The exact cause of the incident is unclear because the authorities continue to investigate.
